Blog Name and the day.

Ok, so in case anyone was wondering about why I named the blog the way I did and you don't recognize the name of the song, here are the lyrics:
These are the days of Elijah
Declaring the Word of the Lord

And these are the days of your servant Moses
Righteousness being restored

And though these are days of great trials
Of famine and darkness and sword

Still we are the voice in the desert crying
Prepare ye the way of the Lord!

Behold He comes! Riding on the clouds!
Shining like the sun! At the trumpet call
Lift your voice! It's the year of Jubilee!
And out of Zion's hill salvation comes!

And these are the days of Ezekiel
The dry bones becoming as flesh

And these are the days of the sons of David
Rebuilding a temple of praise

And these are the days of the harvest
The fields are as white in the world

And we are the labourers in your vineyard
Declaring the word of the Lord!

Behold He comes! Riding on the clouds!
Shining like the sun! At the trumpet call
Lift your voice! It's the year of Jubilee!
And out of Zion's hill salvation comes!

So you're like, ok, that doesn't explain why you named your blog after that song. Elijah was a great man of faith and he reminds me of me. Not exactly the "man of great faith" part, but his very human emotions and feelings of loneliness and fear. God spoke to Elijah in gentle whispers, and I think my life is often to loud to hear God when He speaks to me in whispers. Elijah's life was how I would have mine be, he was a great warrior for God, but still had to be comforted by God, he even ran away from what frightened him at one point. I guess what I am trying to say is, Elijah's life is one that I see reflected in mine, but not in good ways. I can learn a lot from him if I can look at what he learned during hte difficult times of his life. That and, fun fact to know and tell at parties, Elijah never died! He was taken up to heaven in "a chariot of fire and horses of fire....and Elijah went up to heaven in a whirlwind." 2 Kings 2:11. Pretty cool, huh? Yeah, you know you dig it. That's how I want to go! Anyway, that is way my blog is names the way it is. If ya'll want to know more about Elijah and his way cool life, read 1 Kings 19-22 and 2 Kings 1-2. It's pretty much awesome.

Side note: My outfit had a boot drive in Houston today (which my mother calls "panhandling"....she really loves it) to raise money for the March of Dimes, so if you are really awesome and wouls like to donate, let me know. But while panhandling, I so almost gor run over. Yeah. Crazy Houston drivers almost killed me. I felt the wind. But I didn't die, which is good, because my buddies and I ate at a really good Thai food buffet afterwards. Now, I am talking to my friend Sarah-bear while she does her stat project, and then we are going to go swing dancing. Thanks and Gig'em.
